Breaking news - - - Two Birmingham ICE players take their names out of the market

Posted by Brooks

After an official visit this past weekend, three-star player Brandon Peterson from the class of 2009 has committed to Arkansas State. According to Ava Herndon, Peterson's AAU coach, "He has liked the coaches for a while and just wanted to visit to make sure he liked the campus."

* Edit- Just got through speaking to Ava and three-star prospect Ed Daniel, also of the Birmingham ICE, has committed to play at Murray State.

I'll update with more later.

what about bledsoe?

yes when does he plan to commit?

Both he and Birmingham ICE coach Ava Herndon have stressed that a decision will most likely come late, as in spring of '09.

Murray State fan here. Can't tell you guys how excited we are to have Mr. Daniel coming in next year. Was able to find a couple of videos on him and he looks very agressive. Can anyone give me any futher insight into what type of player we're getting?

Thanks.

Well, I have seen Ed play twice. He's a jumping jack. Freak athlete. I have heard many locals say that if he were only 2-3" taller, that he would have been more highly rated than his cousin...Demarcus Cousins. Here is what his AAU coach Ava Herndon had to say about Daniel's game:

"Ed is a BEAST!!! Ed is an undersized power forward with tremendous athletic ability. What he lacks in size is made up with his desire and hard work. He has quick bounce off the floor and is a great offensive rebounder. Has a soft touch on his jump shot and is adding ball handling to his game. He is a great shot blocker and finishes above the rim like none other."

Brooks,

Thanks. This looks like a good place to try and keep up with Ed and basketball this year. Are there any other suggestions on the web?

In my opinion, college basketball is the greatest overall sport. March and April are my favorite times of the year. My wife says I have an obsession.
